FAQs

What materials do you use?

It depends on what I’m making. Most, if not all, of the wire used is permanently colored copper wire. Some are silver plated, but that depends on the wire color. Most of the beads used are either stone, glass, or crystal. I avoid plastic as much as humanly possible. I try to use hypoallergenic ear posts for my earrings, if I can’t then I usually go with either gold, silver plated, or surgical steel.

How does shipping work?

I use USPS for most of my shipping as it is the cheapest option for you, my customer. Because my packages are so small, shipping with other carriers tends to raise the price exponentially.

If an item is already made, I will ship it out to you within 3 to 5 working days. If it is not made and your purchase is a commission, I will keep you informed of the creation process and when the expected shipping will be.

Once shipped, you will receive an email from me with the shipping number! A day or so after your item arrives I will email you to verify that you have indeed received your item.

Currently I only ship within the US. If you are outside the US, please contact me for more details.

Why 20 gauge wire? Why Copper core?

Primarily because it is light weight while still being sturdy. A lot of wire wrapping artists use a thicker aluminum wire so that it’s still light weight, but won’t break. I dislike thick wires as they look bulky and are uncomfortable when used for ear cuffs. So I use 20 gauge copper core wire.

Using such thin wire allows my jewelry and art to have a delicate look while still being strong enough to withstand everyday wear and tear.

If you commission me with the request for a different wire type, such as gold, I will make it, but the price will be significantly higher.

Is everything made by hand?

Yes! I make everything by hand. The only things I don’t make myself are the pendants, beads, and wire. I buy my material, but I use that material to make everything that I sell. Usually I draw the design out and then slowly put the materials together until I have a finished project.

Can I send you a drawing of what I want?

That’s fine with me, but please be aware that I will need to make adjustments based on what I can and cannot do with my materials. If I can’t make what you want, I will notify you and work with you on the item design.

If, in the end, I can’t make it I will refund you any money that you have already paid and give you my deepest apologies. I should know within a week whether or not I can make something.

I’m an artist to. Can I trade something of mine for something of yours?

I’m more than happy to do art trades! Just contact me with a link to your store or website so I can take a look and see if there is anything you have that I like.

This does not guarantee that I will do a trade with you. I have had trade offers in the past where I didn’t see anything I liked, but the other person kept persisting. Please understand that I’m selective in what I trade for.

We can negotiate shipping costs.

How does pricing work?

Pricing is based primarily off of material cost and a quarter of the time spent making the object. This way I am able to lower the price just a bit while still making enough to cover material costs and other expenses.

How do commissions work?

If you are commissioning an item that I have already designed, but in a different color, just fill out the contact me form and I will respond within 24 hours to discuss colors, beads (if applicable), pricing, and time frame.

If you are commissioning something that I have not made before, fill out the contact me form with a commission request for a new item. I will discuss with you about what you want and whether or not I can make it.

After we have come to an agreement, I will send you link to your personalized listing which you will have 24 hours to add to your cart and complete your purchase.

I’m running a charity/giveaway/auction. Could you donate something to it?

It all depends on what the event is for. I’m more than willing to donate something, if I support whatever the event is for. For example, I’m not going to donate to an event supporting kicking chickens.

Fill out the contact me form and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
